We encourage congregations and dioceses to send teams of clergy
and laity to attend together and then bring their expertise and
vision back home.
Register before summer vacations and fall schedules begin.
This popular seminar consistently sells out before
the registration deadline. We recommend registering early to ensure
your space, and suggest you call to call to verify space availability
(800-334-7626, ext. 6003). Registration concludes September 8,
2003. Your enrollment will be confirmed in writing, and is dependent
upon receipt of payment and the registration form. Any registrations
accepted after September 8 are subject to a $100.00 late fee, hotel
availability, and market room rate.
Request to 'hold' a reservation: We are pleased to hold a
group or individual reservation while you are preparing the fee
and registration form. However, such reservations can be held only
for a limited time. You will be given a specific 'hold-release date'
by which time both the registration fee and form must be received.
The reservation will be released if both the fee and form are not
received by the hold-release date. Please take responsibility for
monitoring this process to ensure that you have met your deadline.
Payment made by a third party: If payment for your registration
is being made by a third party (such as your parish or diocese)
it is your responsibility to follow-up to ensure that payment is
issued and received on time.

The seminar is sponsored and subsidized by the Office of Congregational
Development and coordinated in partnership with the Episcopal Church
Building Fund. The all inclusive registration fee includes the seminar
tuition, five nights lodging, and 9 meals:

You will be on your own for dinner for three nights. A number of
interesting, mid-priced restaurants are within an easy stroll. For
those attending the seminar alone, a time and place will be established
to meet others for dinner companionship.
*Roommates will be matched if they are available. Double
room rates are not guaranteed unless a roommate is available.
** Commuters are asked to arrive on time for all sessions.
The commuter meal package provides lunches and dinner on Monday.
Guests who are not attending the conference may join a seminar
attendee in the hotel room at no cost. The seminar attendee will
be charged the single room rate of $775. Guests are welcome at meal
functions; the cost is $200 for all 9 meals. Guests may elect to
attend only the opening dinner on Monday night for $35. Due to contract
requirement meal costs must be paid in advance and are not refundable.
The meeting and lodging will be in an attractive and comfortable
hotel located just five blocks from the famous French Quarter. The
newly refurbished property is listed on the National Register of
Historic Places. The hotel is conveniently situated just off I-10,
near the superdome, a mile from the River Walk which holds may entertainment
and dining options.

Each room has a coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and
ironing board, voice mail, data port. The hotel has a rooftop swimming
pool/Jacuzzi, fitness room, and a business center.
Complimentary shuttle service runs hourly to the French Quarter,
Riverwalk/Aquarium, and Jax Brewery.
Lodging for the seminar begins on the evening of Sunday October
12, 2003, departing on Friday October 17, 2003.
Additional Nights: The hotel has extended
a discounted rate to attendees who arrive the weekend prior to or
remain the weekend after the seminar. The rate is $103 per night,
double or single occupancy. Indicate the additional nights needed
on your registration forms and include payment for them when you

Please submit the completed congregational demographic form when
you register. The information needed to complete the form can be
found in parochial reports. You will use this data during the seminar
to interpret growth issues for your congregation. If more than one
person from the congregation is attending the form need be submitted
only once. Diocesan staff may submit demographics on a congregation
with which they are working or their own congregation. Due to the
time required to graph the data, please understand that demographics
submitted late may not be graphed for the attendee.
October 12, Sunday.: Lodging begins (hotel check-in begins at 4:00
October 13, Monday.: Seminar begins 8:30 a.m., hosted dinner at
October 14, Tuesday.: Seminar meets 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Optional
workshops 7:15 p.m.
October 15, Wednesday.: Seminar meets 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
October 16, Thursday.: Seminar meets 8:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
October 17, Friday.: Seminar concludes 12:30 p.m.

Airport Arrival: The hotel is 18 miles from the airport.
Shuttle service is available for ~$12. Driving directions will be
sent to you upon registration.
Parking: Hotel parking $10.00 per day. Also,
a private parking lot is next door which may have lower fees.
Free Time: You will have free time to enjoy the fun of
New Orleans. The Wednesday session concludes at 12:30 p.m., leaving
both the afternoon and evening free.
Cancellation Policy: Due to binding contracts
required to secure the seminar site the refund policy is stringently
applied. Because the seminar is significantly subsidized, the
registration fee does not reflect the cost committed to the hotel
property. Please understand that refunds therefore cannot be adjusted.
