Prison Ministry


The Office for Prison Ministries provides support for the accomplishment of the Bishop's mission to the incarcerated and their families, to the victims of crime, and to members of law enforcement community and those who staff penal institutions. This position recruits, selects and accessions Episcopal priests for the Federal Bureau of Prisons; and serves as a consultant to Dioceses in their recruiting for prison ministry in state/county/local penal systems. This position also coordinates with the Peace and Justice Ministries of the Episcopal Church regarding matters of advocacy within the criminal justice system.
